Sometimes, as builders, it can feel like the Bitcoin ecosystem exists within an echo chamber—dominated by influencer-driven narratives overly focused on enabling the proliferation of the U.S. dollar across the Bitcoin Lightning network in various forms into every nook and cranny across the globe. Yet, paradoxically, within our own community, we see a growing number of builders and startups actively innovating around AI, AI Agents, L402, AR/MR, Lightning, Nostr and other decentralized offerings, pushing toward something genuinely transformative.
We saw this narrative firsthand during Top Builder Season 2, where Jippi won by building the first-ever Bitcoin AR game, leveraging Lightning rewards to onboard Gen Z. He dared to dream, then made it real. Meanwhile, mainstream Silicon Valley startups continue outpacing us funding these types of innovative founders and companies.
Within the past 5 years Bitcoin payments have already become a foundational component in a builder’s toolkit—it’s no longer the main challenge to overcome. The real hurdle now lies in something much harder: clearly defining and executing a path to sustainable revenue.
And so we arrive at the core question: How do we effectively support builders with this final, critical hurdle?
Before we can fully answer that, it helps to understand how we got here.
We live in a world of silos and curation—and in such a world, the only ideas that endure are those rooted in what I call divinity at scale.
That phrase is a bit of a parable, poetic and abstract, but lets unpack it.
Our modern environment—especially digital—is fragmented ("silos") and highly filtered or curated. People are increasingly confined to isolated bubbles (social media echo chambers, niche communities, algorithm-driven feeds), where what we see and experience is pre-selected rather than open. An echo chamber of lies is still just a weaved narrative of dissonance—truth diluted by repetition, not strengthened by it. I honestly couldn't tell you what's trending on social platforms these days; I mostly spend my time with the Stacker News community, having real conversations with real people about meaningful topics. I would argue this will become the trend. In the physical world, something similar is unfolding: real-world hubs are sprouting everywhere, not just in Bitcoin but across normal niches and even high time preference social circles too—so much so that they're now paying people to join and contribute. That’s how valuable "our perceived" attention for the "builder" has become.
When you're building within a fragmented, curated world, the only ideas that truly break through and last are those driven by deeper purpose—what I'd call "divine truth" at scale. Simply playing by existing rules or conforming to established narratives isn't enough. Genuine transformation occurs when meaningful ideas are deeply embedded, multiplied, and openly shared throughout a community.
So if your builders are creating systems rooted in truth, Bitcoin’s incorruptibility, and open collaboration, then divine grace can elevate those efforts to something greater than the sum of their parts.
At its core, that's what PlebLab hopes to cultivate. We want to provide builders not only a physical space but also an intellectual and spiritual environment designed to transcend isolated silos. Through our workshops, hackathons, Top Builder competitions, Startup Days, and authentic conversations, we're dedicated to helping builders scale their purpose-driven projects. By amplifying impactful ideas, we hope what emerges is not hidden or localized but openly shared, multiplied, and deeply resonant.
Returning to our core question: How do we effectively support builders in overcoming their last significant hurdle—the path to revenue?
The answer lies in community-driven support structures that address the practical realities of building sustainable businesses. This means targeted mentorship, strategic funding that aligns with Bitcoin values, collaborative business development opportunities, and creating robust pathways for builders to commercialize and scale their ideas without compromising their core principles.
The path forward involves empowering builders with both resources and guidance, allowing them to remain true to their vision while successfully navigating their journey toward sustainable growth.
At PlebLab, we don’t just support that journey, we walk it with them.
